Evening Program:
After Dinner "Titanic" 20 years of Diving
and Filming since her discovery by Ralph White.
Award Winning
Cinematographer, Ralph White, documented the expedition that found the Wreck
of the RMS Titanic in 1985. He co-directed the salvage operation and
photography during the recovery of over 5000 artifacts from the debris
field, and was cameraman for the IMAX feature film TITANICA. In 1995-96 he
was the expedition leader and cameraman for James Cameron’s Academy Award
Winning Feature – TITANIC! White has made 35 dives to the Titanic and has
logged over 400 hours at the site!

North Wind: Huron's forgotten wreck by Richard Kruzel.
This 299 ft freighter, built in Cleveland, was lost in 1926 in Huron’s
North Channel. Today, the North Wind offers a perfect combination of an
intact wreck at a moderate depth.
Newfoundland – Truk Lagoon North! With the help of still
photographs and video, Great Lakes diver Steve Lewis draws humorous
comparisons between two seemingly different wreck havens: the tropical
waters of Micronesia and the frigid ocean water off Canada’s east coast, two
worlds apart!
The Christmas Schooner - Rouse Simmons Joyce Hayward and David
Mekker share the story of Captain Santa and the schooner that brought
Christmas to Chicago until her loss while carrying eagerly awaited Christmas
trees!
Frozen in Time – the HMS Breadalbane World-recognized,
award-winning cinematographer Ralph White takes you under the Arctic Ice Cap
to view the pristine 120 ft. three masted British barque Breadalbane.
The lost ship sailed into the high Arctic of Resolute Bay on a rescue
mission for Explorer Sir. John Franklin and the “Franklin expedition”. |
